DrinkBox Studios has announced the release date for Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, an enhanced edition of the original game. It is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 4 on July 1st and on Wii U, Xbox 360, & Xbox One on July 2nd. Features of this version include:
- More story including DLC content
- New playable areas like the Canal of Flowers & the Volcano
- A new boss called The Trio of Death
- INTENSO combat mode
- New abilities like Chicken Bombs and Independent Dimension Swapping
- More enemies
- Multiple save slots
- Permanent item unlocking through the use of dual currencies
