Sakurai-san has shared more updates about Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo 3DS & Wii U again this week and you can see all the new screenshots above. This week our first stop is with Luigi, fresh off the Year of Luigi. As you can see, he now has the Poltergust from the Luigi’s Mansion games and it appears this is now going to be used as his Final Smash. Next we see a stage that appears to be some sort of temple. Perhaps it is a stage from Kid Icarus, Zelda, or Fire Emblem? Or maybe even the return of the Custom Stage feature? Speaking of Zelda, our next screen shows off a new item for the Smash Bros. series, the Gust Bellows from Skyward Sword. It appears that it will allow you to blow your enemies off the platform they are standing as Toon Link seems to be doing so to Samus in the screen shown. We then see a move that has been redesigned, Pikachu’s Thunder move. The cloud will cause a Meteor Smash attack on your opponent when they are hit by it and of course the lightning damage from previous games as well. Finally, we wrap up the week with a visit from Isabelle from the Animal Crossing series who it seems will be making an appearance as an assist trophy, providing fruit to players (likely health restore items).
